Welcome

We have fun at our showcases, and we hope you will too 🙂 A showcase is an excellent opportunity to view bands. However, there are significant differences between a showcase experience and your event.

Tonight’s groups will perform for 15-20 minutes. With so much emphasis placed on the desire for wild dance parties, you’ll primarily hear high-energy dance music tonight. At your event, there will be more of an arch & buildup to the evening’s energy.

We perform in many different environments from cavernous ballrooms to glass ceilings and tents alike. As such, we adapt to all acoustic situations. Each band travels with their sound engineer. He or She is part of the team and plays a vital role in providing a consistent, high-quality sonic experience. This is very different from our showcase where we have 4-5 bands, dozens of musicians with different instruments using the same amplifiers & drums with roughly 10 minutes to set-up, being mixed by an engineer who has 5 minutes to pull it all together. This is the only way to exhibit multiple bands efficiently. While the result works well, it’s not nearly as refined as during a private event.

With some exceptions, our bands play roughly the same styles of music. This includes Top 40, Motown, R&B, Soul, Classic Rock, Oldies, Country, Swing, and Jazz & Ethnic selections. Our repertoires are multi-generational to appeal to all demographics. Unfortunately, it is challenging to show this range during a 15-minute showcase performance. Take tonight’s song selections with a grain of salt as each band can lean towards your individual preferences.

Lastly, our best advice as you evaluate band options is as follows: There are many pieces of criteria on which you will base your decision, including caliber, number of vocalists, horns, personality, charisma, energy, size, etc. However, one of the most important factors is simply whom you are drawn to, which band made you feel excited or left you with a strong positive impression. Choosing a band for your wedding is a gut decision.

Thanks again for taking the time to join us. After 30 years of service, we are proud to be known as New England’s most trusted entertainment resource. While we have played an integral role in over 20,000 successful celebrations throughout the U.S., we continue to approach every affair with an uncompromising standard of excellence.

He later performed with some of the area’s most acclaimed bands including Beantown, EYE2EYE and Kahootz.
